Curago Family Organizer was a privacy-first family hub designed to reduce the “mental load” of household management. By treating the home as a coordinated ecosystem, the experience prioritized seamless daily routines and integrated logistics that kept families synchronized without friction.
As Creative Director and Product Strategist reporting to the CEO, I led a global delivery model - coordinating US developers and overseas designers to scale the platform to 115k+ downloads. My focus was building a resilient One Operating System foundation that supported rapid iteration and a consistent experience across all digital touchpoints.
The Project: Curago Family Organizer
The Role: Creative Director & Product Strategist
The Impact: Featured by Apple; 115,000+ Downloads; 3.5M family events managed.
The Outcome: Established a high-velocity product operating model that scaled the platform and gained Apple editorial recognition.
In a crowded consumer market, Curago’s ability to compete and move fast was constrained by a coordination-heavy operating model. Fragmented workflows and siloed features made it difficult to iterate quickly on the high-friction “mental load” problems our users faced. To win, we needed a way to deliver a premium, polished experience at scale without escalating run costs.
My objective was to help shape and communicate a product operating model shift that enabled reuse and speed. I needed to lead a cross-functional team to build a daily-use tool that felt consumer-grade but was anchored on the technical and governance foundations required for consistent, ecosystem-wide delivery.
Strategic Operating Model: Framed the development as "One Operating System" - a practical way of working anchored on reuse, speed, and trust. I ensured that core features like shared calendars and integrated logistics were built as unified capabilities rather than isolated silos, reducing duplicated effort.
Global Delivery Orchestration: Directed persistent, cross-functional teams comprising US developers and offshore designers. I established clear design governance so decisions were made once with clarity and executed across both web and mobile platforms, lowering the unit cost of change.
Root-Cause Identification: Identified blockers in the onboarding and coordination flows, aligning the CEO and development partners on a unified core platform that improved end-to-end speed and protected user privacy.
Created executive-ready clarity that scaled the platform to over 115,000 downloads and achieved recognition as an Apple “New App We Love.” The platform-enabled model improved delivery speed and established a trusted foundation that enabled faster feature learning and deployment across the entire family ecosystem.
