Transamerica needed a way to move beyond siloed insurance products toward a connected “Life Partner” experience. The inability to connect physical health data to financial outcomes made it difficult for users to see the ROI of lifestyle changes. I founded the internal Innovation Lab to resolve this fragmentation and build the foundations for an AI-native customer journey.
My objective was to safeguard high-value brand investments by stress-testing market assumptions early. I was responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team to build a platform that could use AI to understand health conditions and guide behavior, while ensuring the high-level product vision established in the Lab remained intact during the transition to full enterprise delivery.
Innovation Lab Orchestration: Established a scalable delivery model for rapid experimentation. I led the process of presenting new strategic concepts to the Steering Committee for approval and served as the primary architectural bridge—ensuring approved lab projects stayed aligned with the original vision throughout the complex enterprise build process.
Evidence-Based Validation: Orchestrated 5-day team stakeholder Design Sprints (Map, Sketch, Decide, Prototype, Test) to identify root-cause friction across business units (Retirement, HSAs, Supplemental Insurance). This methodology allowed us to convert business requirements into functional digital assets that were pre-aligned for scale.
Intelligent Personalization: Architected the integration of health-data logic (Human API) to assess factors such as smoking, activity, and nutrition. I directed the AI strategy to “tailor the journey”—leveraging autonomous logic to adjust guidance based on real-time signals while protecting customer trust.
Created executive-ready clarity that transformed the Wealth + Health brand from a concept into a functional, high-fidelity digital hub. The launch established a modular, scalable infrastructure for personalized guidance, drastically reducing the time between strategic ideation and customer-facing deployment for the entire enterprise.
